Two days later.
Athena's private plane landed on schedule at Girard City International Airport.
"Mom!"
Mia ran towards Athena when they met.
Athena caught her precisely, and Mia clung to her like a little monkey.
Even though it had only been a few days, Mia was overwhelmed with a mix of sadness, longing, and happiness as she embraced her mother. And then, she burst into tears.
Mia's tears made Athena tear up as well.
"What's wrong, my baby? Why are you crying?"
"I miss Mom," Mia whimpered as she hugged Athena's neck.
At the same time, Evie held Aiden and pressed her lips against his forehead and cheeks.
"Aiden, do you miss your godmother?"
Aiden sighed and nodded.
If he said no, Evie would cry.
With Aiden's persistent insistence, Evie finally put him down. He proceeded to push a suitcase on his own. He moved slowly and sluggishly.
"Do you think Aiden is growing up too fast?" Evie gazed at Aiden's determined silhouette, her voice tinged with a sense of sympathy, and asked Athena.
"Is that a bad thing?" Athena replied as she kissed Mia's cheek several times in succession.
Mia was kissed until she went from tears to laughter.
"Mom, it tickles!"
"Even tickles get kisses!" Athena gave a few more kisses.
Mia started to giggle.
On the other hand, Byron had a last-minute meeting and had to go to Stanford City.
He was in a rush and about to pass through the VIP channel for security checks when his gaze suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure in the distance, as if holding a child in her arms.
There was hardly any hesitation.
Byron immediately ran in that direction.
Freya stopped him and said, "Byron, our plane is about to leave."
Byron shook off her hand, but when he looked over there again, the familiar figure had disappeared.
"Byron, what did you see?" Freya asked in a serious tone.
