Just then, Aiden spoke up, clearly trying to defend Mia.
Mia looked pitifully at Athena, who sighed softly and said, "Go ahead then."
"Okay, Mom, I'll cut one for you too!" Mia's big watery eyes blinked instantly as she said sweetly.
Evie watched from the side.
She took the opportunity while Mia went to cut the beef steak and approached Athena. Evie whispered, "Alice was with her all along. Do you really need to be so strict? Look how scared she was!"
Mia was extremely adorable, and Athena didn't want to be too harsh on her.
However, it was because Mia was too adorable that wherever she went, people would either give her delicious food or buy her all kinds of toys.
She was still too young and at an age where her values were being formed.
Athena didn't want her to think that getting something she liked and wanted was as easy as being adorable.
"You're spoiling her!"
Athena pinched Evie's leg lightly under the table.
Evie pretended to be dramatic and fell onto Athena. Evie said, "Oh no, my leg is disabled now. Chelsea, you have to take care of me in my old age!"
"I'll do that!" Athena let Evie lean on her.
Evie continued to lean on Athena's shoulder as she watched Aiden and Mia's little heads get close together.
Aiden clearly had no interest in beef steaks, but in order to appease his sister, who had almost cried, he patiently followed Mia's lead in watching her cutting the beef.
The two of them whispered to each other, and thought they were speaking quietly. This time they were discussing their experiences in angering Athena.
In fact, it was Mia who did the talking most of the time.
Aiden's reply was heard in the end. "Mia, not everyone who looks good is a good person. You shouldn't follow someone just because they look good. If you get lost, you won't be able to find Mom!"
Aiden rarely spoke so much at once.
