"She's unbelievable!"
"I know Ms. Green doesn't care about us because she thinks she's the best. But I didn't expect her to be so rude to Ms. Bates..."
Those who remained silent began to speak after Esme left.
Freya smiled gently. "I heard she lost a deal. That must have upset her. Forget it. We are all working for Imbe Group here. I don't care what she said about me."
"Ms. Bates, you are a good person. If I were you, I would call Mr. Crawford and complain immediately!" The person who argued with Esme sneered.
Freya smiled and said, "Byron is a busy man. It would be inconsiderate of me to bother him with these trivial matters. Okay, now. You should all get back to work."
People left obediently.
Freya stood there and looked back in the direction where Esme had left.
A glimpse of resentment rose in her eyes.
It had been years, and there were still people in the company trying to speak up for Athena.
"How dare they call me a mistress?" Freya thought.
She was amused by what her supporter said.
"Yes, Athena was only my substitute. Who did she think she was to compete with me?
"In the end, she was condemned by God and died tragically..." Freya pondered to herself.
Suddenly, Chelsea's face came to her mind again.
It couldn't be her...
How could it be her...
She just bore the resemblance. That was all!
Freya went directly to the Office of the President.
"Ms. Bates, Mr. Crawford is having a meeting outside," Sherry said gaily.
"Where's Mia?" Freya asked.
She pretended to know Mia well.
"What?" Sherry replied, "Ah... Mr. Crawford took Mia out."
Freya didn't know what to say.
She checked the identity and background of that child.
But...
Nothing was found. She still didn't know who her parents were and where her families were. Those were all unpublicized information.
Now, this kid bonded with Byron.
She would never believe a child could be so smart to do that.
Someone else must have guided her!
