"It's for Athena Newton, right?" Athena lowered her head. A white mist steamed in front of her eyes.
Byron was taken aback.
Then he looked down and said, "You are Athena."
"Legally, Athena is already dead." Athena said, "I won't go so as not to cause unnecessary trouble."
"It's the jewelry she has collected for many years," Byron said softly.
Athena froze slightly.
She remembered that one year, she accompanied Byron to the birthday banquet of an elder of the Crawford family.
She just heard Lola chatting with some ladies.
A certain lady mentioned Alivia's jewelry collection. "Your mother-in-law has so much jewelry. After years, it should be yours, right? Then please invite us to see it!"
After Lola heard it, she said nonchalantly, "She said long ago that those jewels are for Byron's wife."
"Give it to granddaughter-in-law? Is it too partial?" Others complained.
Lola was unhappy.
But she still pretended to be generous. "I don't lack jewelry. I can buy it myself if I like it. I am also happy if she is willing to give it to my daughter-in-law."
Athena came back to her senses.
"You take it first." Athena finished the coffee and put down the cup. "I'm full. Goodbye."
Byron sent Athena to the parking lot.
The tree was still rustling there.
"Drive slowly," Byron instructed.
"Yes." Athena got into the car. Before leaving, she lowered the window and warned Byron again, "Don't make trouble again. Otherwise, you will lose all chances!"
"Yes!"
Byron nodded immediately.
