Back to the ward, after confirming that Athena was well, Aiden was sleepy.
Evie made a temporary cot on the sofa for Aiden.
After he lay down, Athena was beside him, gently stroking his forehead. "My dear boy, good night."
Aiden nodded.
He closed his eyes, then opened them. He looked at Athena. "What about him?"
Athena was suddenly about to tears.
"He's out of the operating room and now in the ICU. The doctor said he has a strong will to survive. I think he'll recover soon." Athena paused, touching Aiden's forehead. "Aiden, do you want to see him after he recovers?"
Aiden was silent for a while.
He pulled the comforter up under his eyes.
Then under the quilt, he replied in a muffled voice, "I'll think about it."
"Okay," Athena responded softly, "Good night, my baby."
"Good night, Mommy."
By Athena's side, Aiden soon fell into a deep sleep.
But this night, Aiden probably had a nightmare and frowned all the time.
After reassuring the child, Athena looked at Rose, who had kept silent.
"I've seen your case report." Rose's eyes were red, and her face was tired. "Fortunately, you have no fatal injuries. I'll call some doctors tomorrow and prescribe medicine for your internal injuries. You'll be fine soon."
"Sorry for worrying you," Athena said sincerely.
Rose shook her head. "You are welcome. Lie down quickly and have a good sleep. Internal injury patients need rest the most."
Athena nodded again.
At this time, Evie said, "Rose, the condition of the lounge here is average. I will ask Aron to take you home, and he will send you back tomorrow morning!"
Rose turned her head, glanced at Evie, and finally landed on Aron.
