"George..." Athena found it hard to say.
She didn't understand why other people were always dragged into her relationship with Byron.
Why was this keep happening? No matter how powerful she became, in the end, she would still be coerced by Byron.
"Athena, you don't have to think about me. I can handle it myself. If Byron dares to hurt me again, I promise he will regret it," said George firmly.
Athena was silent for a moment.
"George, I don't want you to fight Byron," she said.
George knew too little about Byron.
Byron was a man of his word. Once he went crazy, he would not care about the consequences. If he wanted to win, he would do it at all costs.
Athena could vaguely hear the classical music on the other side of the phone. George was silent for a moment and replied, "I see."
"I'll ask them to arrange your job in Mailand," Athena continued.
How could she not tell that George was unhappy?
But what could they do now?
She didn't want George to get hurt because of her again.
"Athena," he suddenly called her name before hanging up the phone.
"What's wrong?" Athena asked.
"You've never let go of Byron, have you? With your current status and ability, it all happened because you can't bring yourself to do it, right?"
George said in a flat and emotionless tone.
He was neither criticizing nor angry. He was just telling her the truth.
"Didn't you say you don't care about becoming a widow? He wants to take Aiden and Mia away and even threatens to hurt your family. So why don't you kill him? Everything will be resolved if Byron dies, right?"
"He is Aiden and Mia's father," Athena replied dryly.
George laughed. "If you didn't love him, you could've still done it even if he is Mia and Aiden's father. The only reason you're in this situation is that you're unwilling to hurt him."
"George!" Athena was inexplicably flustered.
