Byron looked at Athena and added, "I don't want her to always be between us."
"Come on," Athena said in exasperation. "I came to you as her substitute to help you get over her. She's destined to always be between us even if she dies."
Byron's eyes dimmed.
He had no way to deal with Athena.
Since coercion wouldn't work, he could entice her, but Athena was so wealthy and lacked nothing!
Annoyed and frustrated, Byron developed a wicked idea.
He lowered his head and kissed Athena's lips.
Athena's eyes widened.
To be honest, she was used to it.
But...
She couldn't tolerate it when Byron bit her.
"Byron, that's enough!" Athena tilted her head, placed her hands on Byron's chest, and finally created some distance between them.
Byron's head was buzzing, and his mind was blank.
He lowered his head, leaned close to Athena's flushed ear, and gently kissed it.
Athena trembled slightly.
Then, Byron rested his head on her shoulder and sighed.
"Thea, what should I do with you?" he said, slowly letting go of her.
Athena sat up, straightened her clothes, and then stood up.
She took a few steps, turned back to look at Byron, and said, "I should ask you the same question!"
With that, Athena left to accompany Rose.
Byron reclined on the sofa staring at the crystal chandelier above.
Then, he suddenly thought of something and sat up straight.
