Athena was worried when she saw Rose's pale lips.
Rose waved her hand. "I'm a little weak because of all the talking. It's okay. Don't worry about it. I don't want to go to the lunch party. You and Byron take care of that for me."
Then she paused and looked at Athena. "Even though you were sure to lose, they still held on to my will and regarded you as the heir. These people are the most loyal and will help you in many ways. So you have to..."
"I know, Grandma." Athena handed her a glass of water.
Rose took a few sips and recovered a little. She waved her hand and motioned for Byron and Athena to leave.
"Go ahead. I'll be here," Brodie said with a smile.
Athena nodded reluctantly and left the conference room with Byron.
Looking at their backs, Brodie chuckled, "Look at them. Don't they look like you and me when we were young?"
Rose tutted. "Shut up!"
Brodie smiled, then looked at Rose and asked in a serious tone, "How are you really feeling?"
Rose shook her head. "Chelsea is a good kid. She didn't let me worry much. I'm in good health, but I am old."
"Then retire and let Chelsea take over," Brodie said decisively.
Rose took a deep breath and then nodded. "Soon. After I appoint new directors."
In the past few decades, Stella Group had flourished.
However, money and fame changed people. Some people were rotten, maybe to the core.
She wasn't worried much about wretched ones other than those on the board of directors. She was worried about handing over the group to Athena just like that.
Rose was not worried that Athena could not handle it.
Rose just didn't want Athena to waste her time on those people.
Rose had the right reason to deal with those people after Cato's arrest.
