The elevator reached the garage.
Athena patted Archer on his arm and said, "Tomorrow, your teachers of various subjects will contact you. Archer, take your younger sister to study hard. I hope you can pass the exam."
"I promise!" Archer nodded with red eyes.
After receiving the phone call from Evie, Jane was restless all the time.
Since Evie had a falling out with the Hansen family, Jane could feel that Brian gradually treated her worse.
Those business partners attracted through Evie's relationship did not renew their contracts or directly terminate them at the risk of breaching the contracts.
Brian finally came back late at night. He hadn't been home for two days.
Jane hurried forward.
A few steps away, she smelled tobacco and alcohol on Brian. Except for that, there was a scent of women's perfume.
"Why didn't you answer my phone?" She asked in a deep voice, "You didn't go home last night. Where did you go?"
"Go home?" Brian took off his suit coat and threw it aside. "Don't you look in the mirror and see what a resentful woman you are now? Because of your daughter, my business has suffered from a big loss. The company is on the verge of bankruptcy. I was fed up with these people pressing for debt payment every day. When I got home, I still had to see your resentful appearance and tears. I don't want to go home at all!"
Jane's lips turned pale.
Her eyes were also red, and tears were about to fall. But she feared that Brian would be unhappy, so she held back the tears.
"Brian, Evie called me and said someone asked her again for money. What's going on?" Jane asked.
Brian glanced at her.
"How do I know? Maybe the people you brought to ask for money last time told other creditors that they could not find me and went to your daughter." Brian's voice was full of indifference.
Evie caused this hard situation for his company. She made him offended Stella Group and Imbe Group.
Brian had a hard time.
So he found a good investment project overseas. But he was vengeful and had decided not to let go of Evie, who made him a laughingstock.
