My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1010

Hendrix evaded the question. He didn't even bother correcting the old man, just spared me a quick glance, before continuing to introduce everyone else.

Being old, it was natural for him to not be able to remember every single detail. Once the waiters served the main dishes, Hendrix and the old man started to chat.

As for me, my mind started to wander to when Ziglar mentioned my grandmother's name. Did he and Granny know each other?

Although there was doubt in my heart, I dared voice them. I planned to ask Naomi to bring me along for a visit to Ziglar's.

I was extremely curious about my grandmother's life and how she knew Mr. Attwood. I've always thought she lived in Hovell.

My grandmother met with Master Roberts later and had attained that mysterious yet exquisite box. If the Attwood family that lived in Asherton knew granny, it's sufficient to say that granny wasn't just some ordinary person from Hovell.

"Arianna!" Hugo called my name and even tugged my arm to pay attention. "The old man is talking to you!"

I snapped awake. When I looked up, I saw Hendrix's irritated eyes upon me and his thin lips lightly pursed.

The old man was looking at me with a smile, his eyes kind and gentle. "Your mind must have wandered off there, didn't it?"

I quickly got up and bowed. "I'm sorry, Master Attwood," I apologized. "I didn't mean to, I'm sorry!"

The old man laughed and said, "No harm done. Young people like you prefer a more fun and exciting environment. Eating with an old man with me must be quite boring, I understand!"

I flushed with embarrassment. My face reddened and I wanted to defend myself, but Hendrix said to the old man, "She's always like this. Grandpa, don't worry."

Ziglar chuckled. "This young lady looks rather familiar. I don't know where I've seen her before."
