"Eat something first, and then take a rest!" I heard Irvin's voice. Looking up, I saw him standing in front of me. He was wearing a black suit and holding a white lunch box in his hand.
"Here's some of your favorite food!" He handed me the lunch box.
I smiled faintly and reached out to take it, "Thank you, Mr. Granger, how kind of you! I'm hungry too," I opened the box with a smile and ate hurriedly.
He then sat down beside me and remained silent as I ate. As I was about to finish my food, he said, "There's not much to do in the afternoon. After you're done eating, you can go back and have a rest. Don't always stay up late at night. It's not good for your health."
I sighed, "I'm fine. I'll be okay!"
Casting me a sidelong glance, he asked, "Did you quarrel with Hendrix last night?"
Stunned, I stopped chewing. Then, I swallowed the food in my mouth and said with a smile, "We're a married couple, it's normal to quarrel. And, we'll get used to it."
He pursed his lips and asked, "Why did you quarrel?"
After finishing my food, I looked at him and said with a smile, "Are you a marriage counselor?"
He smiled faintly, handed me a glass of water, and said, "I saw that you weren't in a good mood, so I thought of asking, that's all."
I took a sip of water and pursed my lips, "It's normal to quarrel between husband and wife... Oh yes, it's going to be Thanksgiving soon. Are you planning to go back to Jarold City?"
He thought for a moment and said, "Yes, I will go back!"
