My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1176

There was only Irvin and I left in the ward. Usually, I wasn't one to give life advice, but I felt that if I didn't say anything, I would regret it and so would Irvin.

Therefore, after a moment's silence, I said, "I met Shirley six years ago on a flight. I remember it so clearly. I accidentally bumped into her on the plane aisle. When I wanted to apologize, I saw how beautiful she was with her long blonde hair cascading down her back. She was angry that I bumped into her, but after my apology, she didn't say anything more. I was quite amazed that such a pretty girl existed in the world. Perhaps it was destiny that allocated our seats together, and so, over the next ten hours of flight, we got to know each other. When she realized that it was my first time going to Mesville, she was worried that I might lose my way. So, she left me a message, saying that I could contact her whenever I needed help."

Irvin looked at me with a questioning look in his eyes. He seemed to not understand why I would bring up issues of the past.

I continued, "That day, I was actually going to meet Hendrix but I met Shirley by accident. This

girl amazed me. After so many years, I still remembered what a pretty girl she had been."

Looking at Irvin, I sighed and said, "Do you know how I felt when I saw her today? In just six years, she changed from one of the world's most beautiful girls to a dishevelled mother, who has completely lost her self confidence. I don't know what her parents would say if they saw her this way, but I'm sure they would feel sad. She's their precious daughter, but after being with you for just six years, she turned out this way?"

He frowned and said sharply, "I have given her everything she needs. As for anything apart from that, I have none to give, and so I will not give it to her."

I smiled faintly and said, "So, do you mean money?"

I laughed out loud and looked at him, saying, "Irvin, what difference do you see in me between now and six years ago?"

His eyes fell on me and he said, "You are more calm and mature now!"

I nodded, "I lived in Hovell for five years after I left Hendrix. During that period, I had the most ordinary but beautiful life. Although I didn't have much money, I had Anne. She was my everything, and my life was complete. Later, when Hendrix found me and took me back to Jarold City, everything was well too. He was different from you. He gave me everything, including all that he could and could not. I left Jarold City not because I didn't love him, or because he didn't give me enough. It was just that I couldn't get over the past, but it didn't mean that we had no future. At that time, I thought no one had a life more difficult than mine, but that was before I knew about Shirley. Then, I felt that I was truly blessed. Irvin, whatever happened between Hendrix and I was not on purpose. But the case between Shirley and yourself, is different. You were the one who gave her all the suffering she's going through. Being hurt by someone you love is worse than dying. Irvin, since you married her and have a child with her, no matter how selfish you are, you should at least care for them. You should know that we are just friends, and we will be friends forever. However, Shirley is your wife and the mother of your child. If you love her, you will be happier. The more you try to harm her, the more pain you will experience..."
