He frowned and said sharply, "I have given her everything she needs. As for anything apart from that, I have none to give, and so I will not give it to her."

I smiled faintly and said, "So, do you mean money?"

I laughed out loud and looked at him, saying, "Irvin, what difference do you see in me between now and six years ago?"

His eyes fell on me and he said, "You are more calm and mature now!"

I nodded, "I lived in Hovell for five years after I left Hendrix. During that period, I had the most ordinary but beautiful life. Although I didn't have much money, I had Anne.
