My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1199

Then I looked up and saw Hendrix, who'd walked out of the Roberts Group building with cold, angry eyes. Following behind him was a group of senior executives of the company.

Hendrix could clearly see me lying on the ground due to the reporters' sudden dispersal. I could only imagine how embarrassing I looked in everybody's eyes.

Hendrix's silent anger caused a chill in the temperature. He approached me with a tightly leashed fury. He shot a cold glance at the reporters who were standing around us, which instantly made them gasp.

He pulled me up and held me in his arms. His voice was as gentle as ever, at odds with his controlled fury. "Are you okay?"

I nodded my head and replied, "I'm fine!"

He searched my eyes and then scanned our surroundings with a pair of dark eyes. His dark eyes were slightly restrained, but the bloodthirsty coldness was still enveloping the surrounding air.

"It's an honor that you all have taken so much effort to gather at my company, but you will need to give me an explanation for hurting my wife without reason. Everyone, please go home. You can only interview me after your companies receive my invitation letter." Hendrix did not raise his voice, some would say it could be considered quite gentle. But there was malice in his voice. Although I didn't understand the meaning of his words, I roughly understood what he meant when I saw the expressions on those reporters' faces.

After saying that, Hendrix led me straight back to the office and asked Evan to bring the first aid box to him. He gently guided me to the sofa and he silently treated my wounds.

My knees and elbows were bruised, and my whole body was covered in dust. I was in a sorry state.

It was all external injuries. Hendrix was helping me to treat my wounds with his head down, and he looked a little angry. I couldn't help but hiss slightly and trembled when he used a cotton swab to disinfect my wounds.
