"Mrs. Roberts, are you alright?" A voice rang out next to my ear. Dazed, I stared at Evan blankly, who was approaching me. As I looked at him, I started to tremble.
He looked at me worriedly, "Mrs. Roberts, I'll take you back to Mr. Roberts's office first!"
Evan half dragged me into Hendrix's office. I felt as if all my strength had been drained, and collapsed in an instant as soon as I saw Hendrix.
Hendrix immediately held me as soon as he saw me, looking at Evan with a frown. "What's going on?"
Evan sighed lightly, "Mrs. Roberts tried to leave from the back door and witnessed Sonia jumping off a building. She must have been scared out of her wits!"
Sonia Sanders?
That girl I met in the elevator just now?
Why did she suddenly jump off the building?
In an instant, there were dozens of questions popping up in my mind.
Hendrix frowned in concern, "Inform the public relations department, and deal with this suicide incident quickly. In addition, look into Sonia's relationships and family situation thoroughly, and find out why she suddenly committed suicide. Don't let the media write about it casually."
Evan nodded and left with a serious face.
The office door closed, and I stayed in Hendrix's arms. My head was buzzing, and I looked at him for a long while, unable to say a word. He let me lie on the bed and poured me a glass of water. Then, he looked at me and said, "Don't be afraid, I'm here!"
I took a mouthful of water and let out a long, deep breath. After I calmed down, I looked up at Hendrix blankly and asked in a low voice, "Is she dead?"
