My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1216

While we'd been speaking, Sonia's mother walked out with a bucket of water with some difficulty. I went over to help her and asked with uncertainty, "Do you drink this water?"

She nodded and answered, "This is no different from drinking water. You just need to boil it first. We are not so particular about it. A bottle of water outside costs eight dollars. If we save this money, we can buy more food for Rita."

The words came out of her mouth naturally. I paused for a moment and felt a little sad. I didn't know what to say. I helped her fill up the water dispenser, briefly explained some of the documents that I would need for the fund application, then left the hospital.

I didn't go home immediately. Instead, I went to the shopping mall and bought some clothes and supplies for the child. When I went back to the hospital again, I didn't see Sonia's mother. The child was asleep but woke up when she heard me walking in. She looked at me and said happily, "Madam, you are here again."

I nodded, put warm socks on her and asked, "Where's your grandma? Where did she go?"

She thought for a moment and said, "Uncle came just now. He wanted grandma's money. Grandma has gone to the police station. She must have asked the police must to arrest uncle."

I couldn't help but frown. Evan had said before that Sonia had a brother who was addicted to gambling. Presumably, he must have heard that Sonia had received the compensation, so he came to ask for money. I was afraid that there was nothing else in his eyes except gambling.

Looking at the water in the water dispenser, I called the number on it for the company. In a short while, someone sent some bottles of water over. Thinking that the child would have to stay here for a long time, I paid for a couple more and gave the receipts to Rita. Then, I said, "Rita, ask grandma to call the water delivery company for more water after you finished drinking the water in the water dispenser. Just give them these when they send the water over. Do you understand?"

She nodded. Although she was young, she could still understand what I said.

After chatting with Rita for a while, I went straight to the Moore Family house as she fell asleep. It was currently the school holidays, Anne didn't need to go to school. I guessed that she would be spending a lot of time with Freya. Hendrix was very indulgent with Anne and had bought her a lot of clothes and toys. There were many toys that she didn't want anymore.

In the past, I had always asked someone to pack them up to donate to a welfare home. After seeing Rita today, I wanted to give her some toys.

At the Moore Family household.

Valerie and Anne were swimming in the hot spring pool in the yard. Anne was wearing a pink swimsuit and playing happily with a duck in her hand. Valerie was talking on the phone in the pool. It sounded that she was calling someone over to do some spa treatments for her.

When I didn't see Freya, I asked the maid, "Excuse me, where is Freya?"

"Miss Moore and Mr. Holt took Oliver to Ucrebury. They said that Oliver's grandmother misses him, and wanted to see him. Since it's a holiday, so they will stay there for a few days!"

I've forgotten. The day after I came back from Asherton, Zachary told Freya that he had already booked a ticket to Ucrebury. I didn't take it to heart at that time, but I only remembered it now.

"Please help me go to Anne's room and pack up the clothes and shoes that she seldom wears. Help me to pack some toys as well. I'll take them with me later!"

Puzzled, the maid asked, "Are you going to send them to the welfare home?"
