My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1254

"It looks like no one has been here for a long time!" I said casually. Sheridan got out of the car, looked at me and frowned. "Miss Reid, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"She's courting death!" Tobias answered and rolled his eyes at me.

I knew he was afraid that I would cause him trouble. I raised my hand to rub my nose, looked at Sheridan and said, "Maybe I can give you guys a hand. Mr. Lawson, is it still impossible to go in?"

Sheridan nodded and replied, "My men have been guarding this place for a while now. The people inside change their shift once every half an hour. There is no other movement. There are only two guards at the door. It seems that they were transferred here only recently. However, they look physically adept. It's not easy for us to sneak in."

Tobias glanced at the chemical plant and was silent for a moment. After a while, he said, "The operation of the chemical plant has not stopped yet. There are still people operating it. It's a breakthrough point."

Sheridan frowned slightly. A moment later, he opened his mouth and said, "I'll send someone in to take a look!" "No!" Tobias said. "They'll be found out at the moment they get in," he continued. Then, he looked at me. I couldn't help but twitch the corner of my mouth as I had a feeling that he was going to suggest something bad.

Sure enough, after a while, he said to me, "Arianna, you'll be the one who sneaks in. Just tell him that your husband is working overtime and you need to go inside to pass him food."

I was stunned and a little confused. Sheridan frowned slightly and said, "Mr. Hayes, it's too risky."

Tobias frowned and answered, "This is the only way."

I quickly opened my mouth, looked at Sheridan and said, "Mr. Lawson, no worries. I can protect myself. I'll put on my headset as well. If anything happens to me at that point, you can break in directly. In addition, if you can, inform the police about this. That might end up saving us in a crucial moment."

Sheridan frowned. He didn't want me to take the risk. Tobias said, "It's not suitable for you and I to go in. She's a woman, so this will let their guard down. Even if she's in danger, they'll think twice before hurting her. Sebastian wouldn't dare to offend so many people in the Jarold City at the same time, so just rest assured!"

After a moment of silence, Sheridan handed me the headset and said, "If anything happens, let us know as soon as possible. We'll stand guard outside. If anything goes wrong, we'll rush in to save you."

I nodded. Tobias instructed someone to hand me a box lunch and some fruits. He looked at me and said, "Be careful. Let us know as soon as possible if there's anything wrong!"

I nodded and walked towards the entrance of the factory with the food. Two burly men were standing guard at the door. "You're not allowed to enter," they warned and frowned at me.

I stepped forward with the fruit in my hand. With a high-pitched voice and shrewish look, I said, "Hey, what's going on? My husband has been working here for around six years now. There weren't any guards here before. Other than that, I've never heard that this place didn't allow entry. Who are you guys? Did you come here to do something evil? No wonder my husband always comes home late. What is going on here? Let me have a look or I'll call the police. Let them come and see what you guys are doing out here. Let me go in!"

As I said that, I took out my mobile phone and was ready to make a phone call. The gatekeeper suddenly snatched my mobile phone, looked at me and said, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
