My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1269

When I got home, Hendrix was busy in the kitchen. It was rare to see him like this. I leaned against the doorframe and couldn't help smiling as I watched him bustling about in the kitchen with an apron on.

He was taken aback by my sudden return. "When did you come back? Why didn't you make any sound?" he asked.

I beamed at him, "Hi!"

He gave me a small smile and said, "Go wash your hands and get ready for dinner!"

I was a little surprised to see that he was wearing a grey sweater. I couldn't help but say, "You look much better in clothes of other colors than in black. It makes you look younger!"

He raised his eyebrows and gave me a serious look, "Do I usually look very old?"

Looking at his stern expression, I couldn't help but laugh, "A little. You look too serious, it makes people think you're harder to approach than you really are. It's better like this, you look more pleasant!"

He pondered for a moment and said, "I'll try to wear more clothes of other colors then!"

I got lost in my thoughts for a second. Since when did he start listening to other people's opinions like this? He was starting to learn how to restrain his emotions and behaviors better, and started reflecting on himself more often.

It seemed that he was slowly becoming a totally different person. In the past, he never smiled and always had a grim and solemn expression on his face. These changes did not happen all of a sudden, but were hidden in the details of everyday life. It was all so subtle that I didn't even notice until now. When did he become such a gentle and sensitive man?

By the time I realized his change, he seemed to have already become such a detail- oriented person, he got jealous easily, threw tantrums, and deliberately changed his routine to cater to me. These changes had all come silently.
