My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1358

Looking at the depressed Aaron, I didn't know how to comfort him. I just asked, "Did you customize the wedding dress for her?" The color and size suited Yana perfectly, I wouldn't even believe that it wasn't made for her in the first place.

He nodded, pursed his lips and said, "After she gave birth to Carney, I found a designer to custommake and tailor this dress. At that time, I wanted to hold a wedding for her when she was ready. I didn't expect that the day would never come."

"What's going on between you and Eunice?" I didn't want to ask him why his relationship with Yana had come to an end. It wasn't an easy story to tell.

He frowned slightly and snapped, "I'm old, it's about time I get married. It doesn't matter who I marry, as long as it doesn't bring a whole load of trouble."

I almost burst out in anger, "Aaron, are you losing your mind? Don't you know what kind of woman Eunice is? Are you trying to ruin the Reid family? You left a good wife and married her instead! Are you nuts? Uncle Charles and I won't agree to this. If you want to get married, even if that woman is not Yana, there are so many other amazing girls out there in the city. You should know better than

to settle with Eunice."

He looked at me and questioned, "Since when did you become so snobbish too? Why are you only paying attention to one's family background now?" Quietly, I looked at him. "You are my brother. Will I hurt you? You know deep down what kind of woman Eunice is. You should stay far away from her, not marry her! I don't care about her family background, but I care about your wife's character and conduct. As long as she is a kind and considerate woman, I won't oppose your marriage, but not her!"

He sat down on the sofa and said with some resentment, "What should I be afraid of? As you said, I am not a good person either. If I find a good woman, I will destroy her life. Therefore, I'll just find someone as bad as me."

Looking at his dispirited figure, I didn't know whether I should comfort him or scold him. I just said feebly, "What are you doing? Where were you back then? How many years has Yana waited for you, only to end up disappointed? Why didn't you cherish her when she loved you? Why did you only realize this, after she gave up on you and met the right person? What took you so long? It serves you right, Aaron."

He laughed dryly and shrugged, "Yes, I'm an a*shole. So what? I deserve it!"

I couldn't communicate properly with him, and I didn't want to talk to him anymore. Yana had changed into a traditional bridal dress of a different style. I was stunned when I saw her and said, "Aren't you planning a modern wedding? Why did you suddenly change into a traditional dress?"

Yana smiled brightly, "I was planning to hold a modern wedding, but Ethan's mother was right. Girls will realize the beauty of marriage when they are being married to a man according to the appropriate wedding traditions."

Looking at the embroidered flowers on her bodice, I paused for a moment and nodded. "This dress is indeed stunning. I'm looking forward to your wedding day," I leaned in and whispered, "In fact, I think that this traditional dress is much more beautiful than the previous one."

She couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Ethan and said, "Let's go for the traditional theme then. We still have time to make some changes. We can make the ceremony more lively this way."
