My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1375

Facial recognition was required to access the president' s elevator. Since Hendrix was not around, I had no choice but to access the staff elevator. Those gossiping ladies came over too. When they saw me, they finally stopped talking!

"Mrs. Roberts!" I was stunned to find somebody greeting me. I turned around. It was Estella. I smiled in return.

As the staff elevator door opened, I squeezed past the other employees into the elevator. Since they knew who I was, they stopped gossiping about Hendrix and me. Instead, they began chatting with Estella.

It was easy to tell that everybody liked Estella. She was pretty and friendly after all.

I got out of the elevator when it reached the floor for Hendrix's office. Then, I was dumbfounded to find that his office could only be accessed via fingerprint recognition.

Hence, I had no choice but to call Hendrix. As soon as I grabbed my phone, the glass sensor door opened. It was Estella.

She looked at the door before directing her gaze at me and said, "Have you been busy, Mrs.

Roberts? Why haven't you been visiting Mr. Roberts lately?"

I glanced at the documents in her arms. Those had to be reviewed by Hendrix. “Yeah, I have a lot of matters to attend to," I said.

She flashed a gentle smile. Not speaking further, she then made her way to the office while carrying the documents. I tagged along. Strangely, it felt as if I had been granted access to the office by her...

Hendrix was sitting at his desk, reviewing the documents. Estella stood beside him, quietly waiting for him to sign them. After vetting the stack of documents, Hendrix raised his hand. Estella then passed him a pen she had prepared. Both of them did not say a single word. While working, they had a great tacit understanding of one another.

I stood still beside the door, staring blankly at them. I felt they had such great chemistry.

Three minutes later, Hendrix raised his head and gazed at me. "Aren't you tired of standing?" he said while raising his eyebrow.
