My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1414

After introducing us to each other, Bobbie said, "All right, you all know each other now. Let's go in and take a look at the equipment together. You guys can brief Miss Reid on the equipment. If she has any questions, please answer them."

The doctors nodded and agreed very enthusiastically.

I was not in a hurry to go and check on the equipment. Instead, I looked at Bobbie and said, "Mr. Hathaway, I'm just a layman and I don't know anything about the equipment. But I have a request, do you mind?"

He looked at me and said with a smile, "Of course I won't. Just tell me. As long as it is reasonable and legal, there is naturally no reason for me to refuse."

Reasonable and legal?

I couldn't help but laugh. Did they think what they were doing was reasonable and legal?

Looking at him, I said, "I would like to take a look at the qualifications of these doctors. We all know that a doctor, whether he is a clinical doctor or a surgeon, needs to have relevant qualifications. Do you mind letting me take a look?"

In an instant, all the doctors were stunned. Bobbie also frowned upon hearing my request. He looked at me and said, "Miss Reid, you know that there are some things in this operation that outsiders are not allowed to know. You can rest assured that all of these doctors are qualified. All of them have definitely graduated from prestigious medical schools and have rich clinical experiences and capabilities. We care very much about the wellbeing of your daughter and will not put her life at risk."

I frowned and pretended to hesitate, "Mr. Hathaway, the key concern of a surgical procedure is the safety and sanitation of the operating room. But another important thing is still the surgeon's capabilities. To put it bluntly, I don't really know whether the environment of your hospital's operating room is safe or not because I am not a professional, so the only thing I can ensure is the qualifications of your doctors. You said that they all graduated from prestigious schools. Can I have a look at their certificates?"

It seemed that such a request of mine was also unreasonable for them, as none of the doctors intended to show me their certificates.

I looked at the doctors and then looked at Bobbie. Then, I smiled and said, "Mr. Hathaway, I don't think my request is too outrageous. This is the basis of mutual trust. I am going to put my daughter's life in your hands. If I don't have enough information to trust you, to be honest, I dare not entrust my daughter to you."

Bobbie frowned and looked at me, "Miss Reid, you know the meaning of this operation. Your purpose is to save your daughter. We are doing this simply because we received your money. It's not because we don't want to show you the certificates of the doctors. But to put it bluntly, if you accidentally leaked out their information, it will be difficult for them to look for another job in the medical field in the future."

I nodded slightly but didn't refute him. Instead, I said, "Indeed, what you said is right. Your people need to ensure that they will not get into trouble in the future, whilst I have to ensure my child's safety. Why don't we come to a compromise?"

"How?" He looked at me a little impatiently.

"Lend me your operating room. But since you refused to show me your doctors' qualifications, I really don't dare to let them perform the operation. As such, well find our own doctors and we'll still pay you the same amount of money. You won't lose a penny here. But my only request is that the doctors performing the operation should be replaced by the ones I hired. What do you think?"
