At this point, she pursed her lips and asked, "Okay, what do you want from me?"
I opened my mouth to speak after a moment of silence, "Don't get the Attwood family involved in anything to do with the Emperor Club from now on. They sell human organs, smuggle drugs, and run shady businesses. They have taken children away from their families as well as countless lives. Any number of these crimes is enough for Sebastian to be imprisoned for years. Master Attwood had been an honest man his whole life. Don't be fooled by Sebastian. Don't ruin your own family's reputation because of a man, Naomi!"
She looked at me with both her fists clenched tightly, tears welling in her eyes. "Arianna, there's no turning back for me anymore. I won't get my family involved in this. But I'll spare no effort in protecting him."
Having witnessed her obsession for him, I knew I couldn't change her mind. I simply frowned and told her calmly, "Alright, as long as you think he's worth it."
This was it. From here on out, we would have nothing to do with each other anymore.
There was no point talking about it any further.
I left the cafe at once. As I was getting into the car, Evan promptly said, "There are a few freight cars parked at the Emperor Club, it's said that they are there to transport some sundries away from the hotel. They are now loading the items."
I was a little surprised to hear that. After a moment of hesitation, I told him, "Let's go there now!"
Evan started the engine after nodding his head.
At the Emperor Club.
There were four to five freight vehicles parked at the entrance of the Emperor Club, with a few men loading the vehicles. Evan and I stopped our car outside to observe them.
"Why are they moving this stuff all of a sudden? Where are they moving them to?"
After watching them for a while, we noticed that the workers were moving some furniture out of the hotel. There were also some cardboard boxes and quilts being loaded into the vehicles.
Looking at the quilts that were being carried into the truck, I had an idea. I immediately asked Evan, "Can you think of a way to have the truck loaded with the quilts spontaneously catch on fire?"
