"Mom, did the doctor say that I can't get pregnant anymore?" I knew the answer to this, but I still couldn't help myself from asking. I didn't ask the doctor myself back then, because I thought there might be a miracle!

She didn't respond. It was dead silent on the other end. I knew she didn't want to crush my hopes. She ended up saying, "My dear, don't overthink things.
