My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1469

Yana gave a tender smile, as she looked lovingly at Ethan and said, "He's been through enough on his way to come pick me up. Let's skip the challenges."

Hearing this, I couldn't help but glance at Hendrix and snuggled into his embrace. She was right. We all went through a lot on our journey to find the right person. Life had already put us through a lot, so why should we put our loved ones through another round of challenges when happiness was this close?

Ethan stretched out his hand as he knelt by the bedside. Yana got off the bed and onto his back. Although the entire room was cheering, I could hear Ethan say again, "Honey, let's go home."

How sweet!

We followed behind Yana and Ethan as they exited the hotel. More than a dozen red Audis were waiting to pick the couple up. The cars were also adorned with wedding decorations. A heartshaped flower bouquet was set up on the hood of the bridal car.

It took around 40 minutes for us to travel from the hotel to Ethan's house. Hendrix and I were in one of the Audis. As we approached Ethan's house, we saw that the roads leading to it were already decorated with balloons and ribbons, adding to the festive atmosphere of the wedding.

Our car pulled over, and the best man who was driving our car turned around and said to us, "It isn't far away from Ethan's house. Let's walk from here."

I gave a start and got out of the car in amusement. The best man was right. Along the drive, the streets had been decorated with heartshaped balloons and ribbons, but as soon as we got off the car, I saw that the street closest to the house was decorated with garlands of flowers instead. Perhaps it was due to the winter season, all the flowers used in the garlands were made from satin. Fresh flowers would have cost a fortune.

I followed behind Yana. She was startled when she caught sight of the flowers. She looked at Ethan and said, "These flowers..."

Ethan gave an embarrassed smile and said, "My parents started making them themselves a couple of months ago. They had wanted to decorate all the streets on the way here with this, however they were short on time, and only managed to cover the area closest to the house."

Yana was touched, and her cheeks immediately flushed as she said, "Why didn't you tell me this? We could have worked together with them to lessen their burden. This must have taken much of their effort and time."

Ethan smiled and said, "Well, we are a family now, aren't we?"

His words made Yana blush a little.

I looked at the flowers on both sides of the road. Although they were not fresh flowers, but each of them represented the love Ethan's family had for Yana. I was moved to hear about the effort they had made. It was the most precious thing in a relationship, where one's family members were able to accept and love the other party wholeheartedly.

The place we were dropped off was about 1000 meters away from Ethan's house.

Yana's face was still covered by her veil, and Ethan led her by the hand as they walked towards the venue.

The wedding party followed closely behind. There were a lot of us, and this scene attracted a lot of attention from the villagers. They were all gathered by the main entrance, waiting for our arrival.

It was important to have a lively atmosphere at a wedding. In some ways, it served as a sign of blessing for the couple's future, a celebration of them starting a life together. From today onwards, the couple would have to learn how to tolerate, love and protect one another as long as they both lived.
