She set the food down on the table with a gentle smile and then left the room.
Yana was ravenous. After she changed her clothes and ate a few mouthfuls of food, she was asked to go out to propose a toast. When Ethan came to the door to escort her, he was already a little red from the alcohol.
Hendrix, who seemed like he'd came for me, was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. When he noticed that my clothes were changed, he raised his eyebrows and asked, "Why did you change your clothes?"
"It's difficult to walk with that dress on, so I changed!" I replied. After all, it was traditional wear, and that was really cumbersome. Besides, there were so many people here that I was afraid I would trip over my dress, so I changed it.
Seeing him staring at me, I felt a little strange and asked, "Did you want me to keep the outfit on?"
He smiled but didn't say anything. Instead, Ethan, who was already a little tipsy, said, "Mr. Roberts wants you to look beautiful..."
"Well, that's enough. You haven't eaten yet, have you? Let's go out and grab a bite!" Hendrix tugged on my arm and interrupted Ethan before he could finish his sentence.
Ethan and Yana went off to toast some of the other guests. Uncle Charles and Carney had almost finished enjoying their meal. It was apparent that Uncle Charles was quite happy today, and he had already drunk a few glasses of wine.
He looked at me and asked, "Arianna, who prepared your wedding with Mr. Roberts?"
I was stunned for a moment and replied with a smile, "It was Master Roberts who prepared it. Grandpa was too old to worry too much, so we just had a simple ceremony."
