He nodded and sighed, leaning back into the seat. He closed his eyes wearily. A relationship could really consume a person and leave him exhausted.
The car stopped in front of the pre- appointed restaurant. We got out of the car. Aaron had an air of nonchalance about him. I dug my elbow into his side and said, "No matter what is going on in your mind right now, you will need to remain dignified. You are not a child anymore. Since you have promised Uncle Charles to go through with it, you should respect yourself and the other party as well."
"Got it!" he answered. He looked at me and asked, "Then let's go together?"
I shook my head and pulled Hendrix close. I looked at Aaron and said, "Nope, I'll sit with my husband later so that you can have a good chat with the girl. If you mess this up, I'll wash my hands of you once and for all. You can do whatever you want."
He pouted, nodded and answered, "Alright!"
After entering the restaurant, Aaron asked to be seated, giving Uncle Charles' name as the reference. The restaurant was a high-end one and required reservations in advance. Seeing that Hendrix and I couldn't get in, Aaron became anxious.
He looked at the receptionist and said, "What do you mean you're not letting us in? Fine! I'll leave. I'll shut this place down by tomorrow!"
He started to drag me away. I rolled my eyes. Aaron was behaving like a child. Fortunately, Hendrix was calm and stopped him, "You go in first, Arianna and I will come in later!"
Aaron frowned and asked, "Why? You're going to leave me alone here, are you? And go off on your own?"
Hendrix frowned and said indifferently, "I'll call the owner of this restaurant and ask him to arrange a table for us. Otherwise, Arianna and I can't go in."
Aaron twitched his mouth and asked, "Do you know the owner of this restaurant?"
