I took a deep breath to steady myself and gave Aaron a threatening glare. What was wrong with him?
However, it was Emma's response that stumped me. She simply said, "That's good. We can stay out of each other's way!"
I was convinced.
They were clearly made for each other.
Seeing these two of them acting like this, I felt that Hendrix and my presence was unnecessary, so I tried to come up with an excuse to leave.
However, who would suddenly turn up but Austin, with a woman who looked about 20 years old in his arms. She was elegant and well-dressed. The clothes and accessories she had on were exquisite. She looked different from the girls he usually hung out with.
They caught sight of us as soon as they entered the restaurant. From Austin's look, it seemed that he had come for Hendrix. They greeted us with a smile and sat down at our table. Suddenly, we went from a party of four to six.
Austin glanced at Aaron and was startled for a second. Then, he greeted him as well. I thought that Emma would introduce herself, but Austin took a look at her and said with a smile, "Miss Stone, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?"
"I'm on a blind date!" Emma replied. Her nonchalant tone made everyone slightly uncomfortable.
Austin rubbed his nose, it seemed like he was embarrassed, and the atmosphere turned a little awkward.
I looked at Austin and said with a faint smile, "Mr. Shelley, why don't you introduce the beautiful girl next to you?"
