Seeing that he had no reaction, I pondered and wanted to say something. Suddenly, a crash was heard and the sound of glass shattering came from the door.
It was followed by a servant's apologies. "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Reid! Are you all right?"
As soon as I looked outside, Aaron had already dashed out. I walked to the door and saw Aaron and Emma quarrelling.
"Stupid woman, you can't even walk properly?"
Emma's arm was probably scalded by hot tea, and she was already upset. When she was scolded again, her voice sounded like she was crying. "Why are you yelling at me! It's not my fault!"
Aaron pulled a long face and stared at the servant without arguing with her. Then, he said with a gloomy face, "You can't even do such a little thing. You're fired."
"Forget it." Emma was so angry that her cheeks were puffed up, but she was still kind and unwilling to cut off the servant's livelihood. "Even if you're angry at me, don't vent your anger on the servants. I just need to apply some medicine. It won't bother you."
The servant shrunk her head and stood aside. She did not even dare to breathe heavily as she waited for Aaron's words. Although the time when Aaron returned to the Reid Manor was not long, the servants knew it well in their hearts that he was a perfectionist and was intolerant.
After a moment of silence, his low and gloomy voice sounded again in the corridor. "What are you waiting for? Hurry up and go to the guest room to ask for the doctor!"
This sentence was mercy given. The servant instantly breathed a sigh of relief, turned around in a hurry, and ran downstairs.
As soon as the servant left, there were only Emma and Aaron in the corridor. Emma was still angry. She glared at him and turned to the bedroom angrily.
Aaron froze for a while and then followed her. He totally forgot about me.
