"What do you want to eat?" Aaron quickly turned the key and ignited the engine.
"Whatever. Just find a random place nearby that's still open. I'm too hungry, I won't be able to wait much longer," I said.
Aaron thought for a moment, then simply picked up the phone and dialed a number. "Madam Parker? Get some simple food ready. Arianna and I will get home in 15 minutes."
I didn't want to bother anyone at home so late at night, but the call had been made, so I didn't say anything. After all, I've turned picky toward food after being pampered by the servants at Reid Manor. I wasn't keen on eating outside.
When I got home, Minnie had already made noodles and prepared two dishes. As I ate, she was preparing even more.
"Madam Parker, this is enough. I can't eat much. It's getting late, you may go and rest," I persuaded.
Minnie answered, "It doesn't matter, Miss Reid. As I age, I need less sleep. I don't have to go to bed so early. Besides, Master Reid and Mr. Reid are both in the study. They'll probably sleep very late today. I'll prepare some food for them so that they won't feel hungry after."
I thought about it and said nothing more. I ate a good amount and went upstairs.
When I passed by the study, it seemed to be extraordinarily quiet. After a pause, I walked over and knocked on the door.
Knock, knock...
I asked, "What are you guys talking about?"
