My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1766

A few days later, Freya's court judge had collected all the evidence that we had brought up. If everything went well, Stephanie would be taken to prison, even if she was pregnant.

On the afternoon of the same day, as soon as I returned to the office, I received an invitation for the anniversary banquet of the X-Forbes Group.

It said, "We would like to invite Miss Arianna Reid to the fifth anniversary reception banquet of X-Forbes Group."

The intention of the invitation was clear. They wanted me to represent Reid Law Firm, which would divide the relationship between Hendrix and I.

Hendrix and Serene's gossip had not died down. Regardless of what Hendrix had planned, the media must have received permission from Serene and the Forbes family to go ahead with it, so they were not afraid to spread it widely. My firm only started a month ago, and yet she was already eager to meet me. This was definitely thought out carefully.

Previously, Aaron had revealed Matt's crimes, which was why he was not invited. I asked Fabian to attend the party with me. I had to dig up information about Serene before the reception, though.

She was an outstanding woman. At the age of twenty-two, she studied abroad, graduating with both Masters in Business and Management, and joined the Forbes family's company. Three years later, the Forbes Group's stock price doubled. Then, two years later, she had a fall out with Forbes Group, so she set up her own business. Within five years, her newly established X-Forbes Group had become the top in the construction materials industry, and its influence was remarkable.

There was a picture of Serene dressed in formal attire. She had a defined face with clear and bright eyes. She radiated ambition and courage. Unlike the girls surrounding Hendrix, no flaw could be found in her, which made her a more suitable candidate for Hendrix. At least, they both shared the same aspiration in their careers.

"We have arrived, Miss Reid," Fabian announced.

I found myself in the field outside of the party venue after his reminder. I looked out of the window casually, and the reporters on both sides of the red carpet had already begun their ambush, flashes blinding the area.
