My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1793

Hearing this, my breathing sped up.

No wonder Mr. Clark had avoided me the last time I went to Anne's school. Now that I think about it, everything made sense.

Josiah had planned everything from the start. His identity and name, and perhaps even his appearance, had been modified so that he could hide around Anne.

No one was better at deceiving people than him.

Without hesitating, I turned around and rushed upstairs. As I walked, I reminded Aaron, "I'll have the principal arrange things for me tomorrow."

Josiah was way too dangerous. I couldn't let Anne be around him for another moment.

When I entered her room, she was already lying in bed. Maria was telling her a story with a book in her hand.

"Let me do it, Maria."

I took the storybook from her and sat down next to Anne's bed.

The tears on Anne's face had been wiped away as she leaned against the pillow, but her large eyes were still wet from tears and reflected the lights in her room. They sparkled as she looked at me.

"Mom, can I not transfer schools?" Anne asked with a pout on her face.

Looking at her heartbroken face, I couldn't bear to let her know the truth.
