I exchanged looks with Aaron, then we got up to leave together.
After taking a few steps, I stopped in my tracks to give him a sideways glance. I then said, "Josiah, not everyone can start over from scratch. You have to pay the price for your crimes. This is the last warning I'll give you. Anne is Monique's and mine. She has nothing to do with you. Don't humiliate yourself again. If you get any closer to her, I'll fight you till the day I die."
With that, I left without looking back.
He didn't chase after me. There was no reason for him to do so. My attitude right then was enough to make it clear that he had no chance of winning for custodial rights. If he even dared to provoke me, not only would I transfer Anne over to another school, I would hide her from him at any cost.
When we got into the car, and Aaron buckled his seat belt, I couldn't help but turn around to look at the cafe again, my eyebrows twitched slightly, "Aaron, I'm still worried. Call your IT experts over."
Aaron thought about this for a while and said nothing. He then typed out a message on his phone. After that, he started the car engine and drove home.
Half an hour later, we entered the Reid family hall. Six men dressed in the same style of clothing and glasses were waiting inside.
"Mr. Reid." They greeted Aaron respectfully .
"Mhm." Aaron hummed a reply before he turned around to speak to me, "All of the best graduates from the country's IT industry are here. Just tell them what you want them to do. They're all nerds, so they won't try to flatter nor please someone, but when it comes to their skills, they're top-notch."
I nodded. Without further ado, I walked up to them and asked, "Did you all bring your laptops?"
"Yes, Miss Reid." A boy in the corner answered loudly but didn't dare lift his head to look at me. He looked a little nervous and trembled all over.
