My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1908

On the way to Golden Roof Restaurant, I pondered if Cyril was the the person who set this appointment up - the man whom I met at the French restaurant that day.

After all, I had lost a lot of weight, and I should look much different compared to before. People shouldn't be able to recognize me at a glance.

It was only until I emerged from the car that I discovered that everything had long since been arranged.

At the entrance of the restaurant, there was a personal waiter waiting for me, who then directly led me into room 608.

It comprised two smaller rooms, one of which had a deluxe sofa that allowed the customers to have a leisurely chit-chat between meals. Another room was a living room with a grand dining table. While I was coming in, I secretly inquired about this room and the waiter told me that room 608 was the VIP room of Golden Roof Restaurant, and only the most distinguished and honored guests could reserve it.

It seemed that the person who wanted to meet me was wealthy.

I stepped in and walked around the room with the sofa. Soon, the sound of the door opening could be heard.

I heard the sounds of high-heels, a small trolley and some unsteady footsteps.

What followed was a child's voice. "I have my own plans. It's none of your business."

"Wynn, it's about time to eat. Put down your gadget. Didn't I tell you that we have to concentrate on everything we're doing, and that we can't afford to be negligent." The woman sounded like a businesswoman, but it could be heard that she was trying to be patient with the child.

"That rule is just for you," the child muttered, unwilling to obey. "I can, I want it to be... interesting."

Perhaps he was too young to fully articulate his feelings.

"Wynn Marshall, put that gadget away." The woman began to assume a sterner voice.

The child did not respond, as if he took no notice of her words.
