My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1939

I rushed towards the driver seat. I laid down on the ground and swept the broken glasses away. "Irvin, are you alright!?" I cried out.

His head was bleeding and his eyes were blank. He opened his mouth but didn't say anything. He blinked his eyes as if he had recognized me and then passed out.

I took out my phone and quickly dialed 911. "Help! I need an ambulance, I have an injured person here, the address is..."

Fortunately, the accident wasn't far from the city, and the ambulance was able to arrive in less than ten minutes.

Irvin was rushed to the operating room as soon as we arrived at the hospital. I waited outside and paced about the corridor anxiously.

Two hours later, the red light above the operating room went out, and the doctor pushed the door open.

I immediately stood up and asked, "Doctor, is the patient's injury serious?"

"The airbag protected him from the crash and he only had some external injuries. The surgery went well and we've stitched up his wounds. But well need to keep him in the hospital for now to observe his condition."

I breathed out a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you, doctor."

Soon, Irvin was pushed out on a bed by a nurse. The anesthetic hadn't worn off yet, so he was still dazed.

I leaned over and gently called out to him, "Irvin?"

His eyes twitched a little but he didn't speak.

As he was transferred to the ward, I began to contact his relatives and friends.

However, according to the information on the internet, Irvin was an only child and his parents were no longer around. Apart from that, I knew nothing else about him. I didn't even know any of his friends, let alone relatives.

Irvin seemed to be another version of myself, a lonely person.

Strangely, at this very moment, I actually felt a bit of sympathy for him.

Two days later, Irvin regained consciousness.

I made some soup for him.

Irvin sat up on the bed and smiled as he watched me feed him. He said jokingly, "You're every bit the good wife or mother right now."

I rolled my eyes and said, "I'm nothing compared to you. At that moment of life and death, you only thought about rescuing me."
