My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1954

What did I think?

I think it would be way more appropriate to have our own respective bedrooms obviously!

Before I could speak, Hendrix moved towards me. He stared at me with his dark eyes and said as he walked, "Didn't anyone ever tell you that you have to read the terms clearly before signing a contract?"

I stepped back and tried to compose myself. "Your business is thriving. You wouldn't exploit a simple person like me, would you?"

Hendrix stopped in his tracks with a look of disbelief on his face. Just as I was about to breath out a sigh of relief, he suddenly leaned forward and pushed me onto the sofa, holding me down with his arms. "You think you know me?"

Being this close to him, I felt my heart beating wildly.

But the thought of being taken advantage of didn't sit well with me. I forced myself to stay calm. "It's not too late right now. I'll terminate our contract!"

It was important to regain my memories, but I wouldn't use myself as a bargaining chip.

I didn't have a good impression of Hendrix from the beginning. Now, I've completely lost any trust in him.

At this moment, Hendrix's face suddenly fell. His deep eyes filled with sorrow as he exhaled deeply. His voice was soft but clear, "Arianna."

In that instant as I looked into his eyes, I couldn't tell if he was calling for me or his late wife.

When I came back to my senses, Hendrix's warm body was wrapped around me.

As our bodies touched, an intense, tingling sensation had spread across my whole body once again. I wanted to push him away, but I stopped when I heard him speak.

"I miss her so much. Ten minutes, just ten minutes. Let me hold her."

The truth was out. He missed his dead wife.

For a woman, being treated as a substitute for another woman by an annoying man was humiliating. I opened my mouth but couldn't say anything to refuse him. I wasn't as brave as I was earlier to push him away.

I raised my hand multiple times, but I just couldn't do it.

The door opened suddenly. Wynn ran in holding his microcomputer and saw us hugging. His grape-like eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.
