My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1964

"Forget it. One is enough. Plus, I don't want to have anything to do with men anymore." Freya smiled faintly. "We're talking about you. Don't change the subject."

Just like that, we went back to talking about me. "You two have been involved with each other for so many years. It'd be great if you were able to find love and your memories again, but if there's no going back to how things were before, then you have to think about yourself and the child. The Marshall family knows that you're still alive. They will not let things be..."

Some things didn't need to be explained. I could tell what kind of people the Marshall family were just from how the treated Jennifer.

However, I was pretending to be Arianna just for the sole purpose of regaining custody of Hendrix's child. This was a good thing for the Marshall family. There was no reason for them to be upset.

"I haven't thought about these things yet. Hendrix's plan is to get his daughter back," I responded casually.

Freya was stunned for a moment. "What about you? Do you agree with his plan?"

I caught the surprise in her eyes. I pursed my lips as I thought about this. Then, I said, "Mothers should be there with their children as they grow up. I've already missed six whole years of that. I don't want to miss anymore."

Upon hearing that, Freya lowered her head and fell into deep thought. Silently, she picked up her coffee and sipped it.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing." Freya looked at me with a smile. It seemed that she had just figured something out. "There are some things that we have to experience ourselves to know what it feels like. Since you feel it is right to file a lawsuit against the Reid family, then do it. I think, compared to winning the lawsuit, some people would be happier just to see you alive and kicking."

I was taken aback by her words.

Freya was clearly hinting that the Reid family had been waiting for "Arianna" to return.
