My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1977

I was amused to see how much Aaron actually loved and valued me. So much that he was willing to make up with someone he hated.

It was at this point that I realized Arianna was also deeply loved.

It was five o'clock in the evening when I left the hotel. There was a grey Mercedes parked at the entrance. I went straight to it. As soon as the car was unlocked, I opened the passenger door and bent down to get into the car.

To my surprise, the driver was a woman.

"I'm very happy to see you again, Miss Reid. I'm Mullen, and I was previously hired to protect you and your children. After the accident, Mr. Reid assigned me to stay so that I could be available to you when you returned. Feel free to contact me should you encounter any issues."

Miller's frank explanation sounded enthusiastic and valiant. It embodied a militaristic spirit.

"Then I'll be sure to contact you very often from now on." I nodded unceremoniously and attached my seat belt, "Drive over to the Roberts."

Within seconds of the buckle locking in place, the engine bellowed. A second later, the car sped away like an arrow.

The car parked steadily in front of the Roberts' villa twenty minutes later.

"We're here." Mullen calmly pulled the key out and switched off the engine.

I took a deep breath. It took me a while to calm down before I was able to unfasten my seat belt.

"Do you need me to accompany you?" Mullen asked calmly.

"No." I waved my hand, "If I bring someone along, Hendrix will get suspicious. Just head back and take care of Aurelia."

After that, I got out of the car.

Despite being able to breathe in the fresh air, I was still shaking. Mullen had driven so fast and precisely that I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate another ride.
