My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1979

It was probably Jordan, who spoke. I've only ever heard his voice and seen some blurry photos of him before. From what I can see now, he's a very young man who dressed casually and looked very approachable.

But, the experiences I've gained from my life have taught me to never judge a book simply by it's cover.

As the butler placed the gifts down, Hendrix suddenly turned around and grabbed my shoulder. He then led Wynn and me to the couch next to Nathan.

As soon as we sat down, Jennifer started to cause trouble again.

"Hendrix, since you've been avoiding me in the company, let's take this opportunity to clear the air. Your actions have led to dismissing me from my position as Finance Director, as well as my promoted subordinates. So what exactly are you trying to do to me? Ostracize me? Keep in mind that the company isn't solely yours, and I am your sister, the one you should place the most trust in!"

At that moment, a servant brought out some tea. Hendrix calmly took the tray and handed me one of the cups, "Have some tea."

Jennifer held back her anger and waited for Hendrix to take a sip of his cup of hot tea before speaking again. After he placed the cup down, Jennifer said coldly, "Didn't you hear what I said!?"

Hendrix finally looked up. His eyes looked uninterested as he said, "Shut up."

A surge of hostility filled those deep eyes, and the air around them grew heavy.

However, people would feel especially bold in their own homes.

Jennifer, who was with the Marshall family at the time, did not take this warning seriously. Instead, she grew even more aggressive as she got up and stormed towards me. She grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me up, "This is all your fault. You've led my brother astray by claiming to be Arianna. Get out of here!"

Hendrix stood up. As he had a tall figure, he gazed down at Jennifer with a powerfully oppressive aura.

It was probably the first time that Jennifer had ever seen Hendrix like this. She was so scared that she froze in place. Her jaw dropped at how menacing he looked.
