My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1992

Those in high positions who silently disappeared was proof that they were involved with things behind the scenes. Their only option was to erase all traces of themselves.

Eddison's disappearance also indicated the end of an era.

That result was very satisfying.

Aaron had no interest in them. He glanced at the kitchen, squinted his eyes, and whispered, "How long are you going to stay in Jarold City? My people have arrived. You can tie that guy up at any time."

He actually took my suggestion seriously.

I couldn't hold back my laughter and bursting out chuckling, which caused Aaron to make a face at me. We then turned around to sneak a glance in the kitchen at the same time. As expected, when he heard us, the ever cautious Hendrix looked at us.

After collecting myself, I held back my laughter and patted Aaron's shoulder, saying, "Tell them to wait for my signal."

With that, I got up and went upstairs, "I'm going to take a bath. Call me when dinner's ready."

During the diagnosis, the doctor mentioned that my body had already recovered. I had been out for less than two hours, but I was already sweating all over. The clammy feeling on my skin made me feel uncomfortable.

Thinking that this might be the side effect of the medicine, I wasn't too worried. I heated the water in the bathtub and soaked in it. Leaning against the bathtub, I closed my eyes and rested.

From the moment I woke up till now, I'd finally found myself. The process wasn't simple, but it was necessary.

The first person I saw when I opened my eyes was Irvin, who had since disappeared. Everyone around us could tell we were an unmarried couple.

I was clear about Irvin's feelings for me. He wouldn't hurt me, but that was it. He was willing to harm a newborn child to separate Hendrix from me. How could I hand myself over to him?
