Even so, she was a strong independent woman in Jarold City. She sorted out her emotions in a brief moment. After scanning the room and fixing her eyes on Hendrix, she laughed and had a contemptuous look on her face, just as Aaron did. "Hendrix, I didn't believe it when I heard from the media that you found yourself a substitute. You are such a good-for-nothing. I also heard that you've resigned from the position of president of the Roberts Group? Do you know what the consequences are?!"

She spoke very sternly. But no one noticed the tone underneath it, the kind that a woman would have when she caught her man in bed with another woman.

Serene had a very strong personality and was very focused on her career. In her heart, the love between men and women wasn't as important as kinship. She was still the same even six years later.

She didn't speak as Hendrix's partner, but sounded more like a concerned business associate.

Upon hearing this, Serene suddenly glared at me. Compared to when she entered earlier, her eyes looked much more perplexed. "You're still alive?"
