My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2094

After we decided to keep Neal, we went through the discharge formalities that night and took him back to our home.

There were three cars on the road. Hendrix took a car with me, and he played with my hand the whole way. His state of mind somehow irritated me.

I pulled my hand out of his and sat up straight on my knees, indicating with my face that I didn't want to be touched.

It was one thing to put aside prejudices against Neal, but Hendrix's decision to embarrass me was another matter. To solve the former did not mean that the latter could be ignored.

The advantage of being a woman was that we had a narrow mind and a good memory. Did he want to fool me? Dream on!

Hendrix turned his face towards me and paused for a moment. Then, in the blink of an eye, he smirked and said, "If you are mad at me for deciding to adopt Neal without your permission, you should try to calm down."

"Really? Then feel free to tell me why." Folding my arms together, I wanted to see what he was going to say.

Men may not necessarily be smart in business at all times, but when they were faced with their wives and wanted to achieve their goals, they could become super-geniuses. He could fool me about anything.

"Haven't you discovered what's on your daughter's mind?" Hendrix responded with an ambiguous smile on the corner of his lips.

"What do you mean?" I blurted.

As soon as he finished speaking, I vaguely guessed Hendrix's meaning.

Aurelia felt something for Neal; something more than friendship.

I had always consciously avoided talking about this. Firstly, I didn't think that children would have these thoughts at such a young age. Moreover, the subject matter was Neal, a wild card. I felt that if I refused to admit it, things would not develop in that direction.
