My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2231

Jordan brought me to the penthouse of the office building opposite from the Roberts Group.

The elevator doors slid open and in front of me was a one-way corridor. At the end of the corridor was a large open area. There was nothing else there other than a glass dining table and a simple chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

The table was delicately arranged with steak and wine. This corner stood out in the empty space, like an utopia in the desert.

Jordan dismissed his men and sat down at the table. He picked up the wine glass and twirled it at his nose as he inhaled the sweet scent of the wine. He then took a sip and looked down at the busy city below.

Hendrix would also do this very often. But he would stand calmly in front of the window, without the fancy decorations.

"It isn't time yet. Sit down and have a drink with me," he ordered. He expected me to listen to him in order to know where Hendrix was.

My patience however, was running out. I wasn't in the mood to satisfy his wicked sense of control. I kept my feet firmly on the ground as I changed topic, "Until I see Hendrix, don't hold it against me for saying some unforgivable things."

Jordan was obviously unfazed by my threats. He calmly set the wine glass down on the dining table, pointed at the chair in front of him and tilted his head. He was indicating to me to take a seat.

He looked very confident, which undoubtedly was to provoke me.

"Alright, let's see what kind of information he has to keep me guessing."

I walked over and sat down, clearly showing how little I cared for his charade. Without showing even a hint of aggression, I asked, "Okay, can you tell me where he is now?"

The corners of his lips curled up intriguingly. He placed his hands on the table and pointed his right index finger at my seat. "I promise you, Arianna, you have the best view right now. You won't regret any of this."

I had wanted to say that I was already regretting it. Did he think that beating around the bush was the same as being mysterious?

He was nothing compared to Hendrix.
