My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2237

"No thanks." "We won't need it."

Hendrix and I blurted this out at the same time. After that, he seemed eager to show off. He strode past me and walked into the clubhouse. "Women only know how to get in the way."

He said this as he walked past Andrea and disappeared at the door. He left me alone, like a defeated dog, allowing Andrea to mock me. "Did you hear that, Arianna? Hendrix just dumped you. He doesn't want you anymore. You're just a joke. You are a nobody now! Hahaha..."

Me? A hindrance?

Her mocking had never bothered me before. It was what Hendrix had said to me that I found disturbing. I vented on Andrea and answered, "Yeah? What makes you special then? At least Hendrix had gotten tired of loving me. What about you? He won't even look at you."

"You..." Andrea was so mad that she pointed at me with a trembling finger. She clenched her jaw and calmed herself down. She then said with a lopsided smile, "Yeah right. I don't care how much or how deeply Hendrix loves me anymore. What's important now is that he and I are on the same level. I will do all of these bad things together with him, fall into an endless pit with him and I will see him become the very person he despises right before my own eyes. The best part is, there is nothing you can do about it. Just the thought of it is so exciting."

"Don't even think about it." I gritted my teeth. Although I didn't say this very loudly, it was clearly said with malice.

Andrea pulled up the corners of her lips. "Well wait and see."

She then hopped her way into the club.

I turned around and looked at the resplendent signboard. The entrance was pitch-black because the club wasn't open yet. It felt like they were the very doors to hell.

"Your men will arrive soon. If you have the courage, go in and take a seat."

Jordan's invitation was more like an initiation of war, clearly telling me that he was the host of this sordid game, just to see if I was brave enough for the challenge.

The challenge of loving Hendrix till the end no matter what he did.

Unexpectedly, I didn't take his bait but I also refused to leave. I just stubbornly stood by the side of the road, waiting for Aaron's men to arrive and pick up Hendrix.

A few minutes later, the sound of rumbling and crashing furniture came from inside the club.
