I didn't need to question Hendrix his eyes explained everything.
I would have been lying if I said I wasn't surprised. But everything that had happened piled one on top of the other and overwhelmed me. I gradually couldn't make out the situation.
From the day I woke up, the only identity I had was the ID card written with "Arianna" given to me by Irvin. As for the procedure of inheritance of shares that Naomi mentioned, there was no formal trial. Only a tacit agreement that everything would be in place after the wedding announcement to the world.
Firstly, all sorts of troubles came one after another. I couldn't handle them all. Secondly, it wasn't easy for us to reunite. We only had the leisure time to enjoy the happiness. We didn't care much about the property we had. Hence, we naturally didn't find the time to make up for it. It was unintentional, but I didn't expect such a trap to swallow me.
Without capital, Hendrix's ridiculous acts still had restrictions. With the Roberts Group's help, those shady deals he did would earn him at least 20 years of sentences.
If this was a stage, I would undoubtedly be the only clown on it.
Of course, what I was sure of was that if I flew into a rage like a clown, then I would fall into Jordan's trap. He was the real mastermind behind the scenes.
Looking at Naomi coldly, I kept telling myself to calm down. Gritting my teeth, I didn't make any noise.
But to Jordan, it looked like unwillingness and resentment. His eyes were full of mirth like he was waiting for the opening of his favorite drama, eagerly waiting for the plot to develop.
"Naomi, come here." He called Naomi back and pretended to be a harmless gentleman. He smiled slightly. "Don't be so hostile to me. I just gave some advice. I didn't expect Hendrix to do so well. I told you before that he is talented in this field."
I didn't answer. Instead, I looked calmly at Hendrix, hoping to find a clue from the eyes that used to contain gentleness.
What I got was a cold, dry explanation.
"Roberts Group is originally my family's possession anyway, I have absolute control. Don't worry, the living expenses for you and the children are still unlimited. Our family's life will not change."
