Just as I was about to let out a sigh of relief, Jordan suddenly stood up and left the private room without saying a word. His speed was so fast that Naomi did not even have time to react. It took her a long time to get up and chase after him.
With this, I felt uneasy again. As for Jordan, I was really not sure if I could persuade him with those words. If this guy went back to think and knew that I was setting him up, he would really go to the extremes, and I would be doomed.
But if Jordan accepted the challenge, then we would not be far from victory.
Once he loved someone, he would have a weakness. With a weakness, he would no longer be an indestructible being.
As the sound of Naomi's high heels gradually faded away, my heartbeat became more stable. My tense nerves relaxed, and I put my hands on the table to support my exhausted body.
"Always so reckless."
Hearing Hendrix's voice made me remember that he was still here. I looked up slowly and said in a provoking manner, "I've always been this reckless.
It's not the first time you've known me."
Hendrix's dark eyes were shining under the light. For some reason, I felt like they were glowing for me. However, he ignored my words and left right away.
My eyes followed him until his tall figure disappeared by the door. Then, I was completely relaxed and fell back into the chair.
My temples were sore. I sighed and raised my hand to rub them in order to feel better.
