Jordan was not annoyed at all. He got up and to the bathroom to fix his appearance, saying, "I just took over the field from Emily, and I thought you would be interested."
"Are you bringing me on patrol?" I turned my head to look at him. Even if I couldn't get the data on the computer, this didn't seem like a bad consolation prize.
However, patrols of this kind were similar to the inspections when doing business. They only brought the people closest to them. It seemed that my place in Jordan's heart had risen to a higher level.
Thinking about it, I got up and went into the bedroom before Jordan could answer. Picking up the clothes on the bed, I hid under the quilt and quickly changed.
Jordan's bedroom had an open concept. There was only a door frame between the living room and the bedroom with no other obstacles.
After changing my clothes, I got out of the quilt. Looking at my messy hair, I planned to use the bathroom mirror that Jordan was using.
Fortunately, Jordan was already sitting on the sofa and waiting, so it saved me from getting into an unnecessary argument.
When I was ready, I got into Jordan's car. After a day of rest, I finally left this desolate wasteland.
Jordan didn't bring the computer with him. Anyone who broke in could steal his data. Unfortunately, I didn't have a mobile phone, so I couldn't contact anyone. I could only watch this opportunity go by.
Based on what I saw on TV shows, I thought that the field that Jordan mentioned must be in a place teeming with life. After that, it was easier to make secret dealings within the dazzling lights and noisy music.
However, when he drove into a shabby village, I realized that I might have poor knowledge about reality.
