Wouldn't it be better to die than to fall in love with someone who didn't care?
After a moment of silence, I turned to leave while he stayed where he was.
There was nothing better to say as this had always been my goal.
Even if it was an underhanded thing to do, when backed into a corner, I would do whatever was necessary to protect my loved ones.
There was no need to consider honor and dignity when dealing with a villain.
The next day, I woke up early and got ready to go out for some fresh air.
As soon as I went downstairs, I saw the unwelcomed guests, Quinn and Lucas, sitting in the living room.
The two men had dark expressions, and there was a gun on the table in front of them. Upon seeing me, Lucas stood up and pointed the gun at me, "You b*tch! Tell me, was this your plan all along?"
Because of my relationship with Jordan, the two of them were civil to me at first. But now, one was aiming a gun at me while the other was just coolly observing, showing no intention of stopping the conflict.
At this point, Jordan came out of his room. He stood beside me, peered down at Lucas, and said in a low voice, "Didn’t anyone teach you c*nts to be polite?"
"Are you kidding me? C*nts? I dare you to say that again!" Lucas was already agitated in the first place. After Jordan offended him, he immediately turned off the safety lever of the gun.
Jordan paid no attention to the agitated man and turned to talk to me, "Let's go and have breakfast together."
As he spoke, he took the lead and walked downstairs.
