I reached out for the cup and poured some water, but was slightly absent- minded and dropped the cup, breaking it to pieces on the ground.
When I squatted down to pick it up, the bedroom door was opened. Hendrix's eyebrows were filled with anger. He asked, "Are you injured?"
He walked over to me and picked me up and placed me on the bed. He pursed his thin lips and looked sharp.
I was stunned for a moment and felt as if I had done something wrong. "No, the glass fell."
He looked up at me and asked, "Want some water?"
I nodded.
He got up and poured me a glass of water. He called for Minnie to come up and clean the mess.
Thinking about the conversation between him and Josiah, I couldn't help but to say, "Go to the study. Doctor Saunders is waiting for you."
He put the breakfast brought by Minnie next to me and said, "It's all right. He can wait."

After eating breakfast with me, Hendrix went into the study.
I slept well the previous night, so I couldn't fall asleep again even if I wanted to. I played with my phone on the bed for a while, and it was really boring.
I wanted to go to the study to find some books to pass the time. Josiah had applied medication on my ankle and it did not hurt as much anymore.
I moved to the study. As Hendrix and Josiah were talking, I raised my hand and knocked on the door.
Hendrix's deep voice came from the inside before my hand even touched the door. "How is she?"
"Her fever hasn't subsided, and she is in a daze. The Moore Family found her a doctor and guarded her closely. Valerie has been transferred away, and there was no time to worry about her."
