Heather looked at me and said with hesitation, "Madam, it's quite late now. It's still snowing outside. Why don't you wait for Mr. Roberts to finish showering to go together with you?"
"There's no need forthat!"
I walked out of the hall and suddenly saw two bodyguards standing by the door like sculptures. I couldn't help but say aggressively. "Make way!"
The two of them did not speak.
Meanwhile, Heather had already gone upstairs to call Hendrix.
I frowned and couldn't help but feel a surge of anger, but these two strong men were not people I could deal with alone.
They continued standing stock still and blocked my way.
It didn't take long for Hendrix to make it down. He was wearing a bathrobe, and his short hair was still dripping with water.
Seeing that I was dressed neatly, he frowned. "Where are you going?"
"Going out!"
"What are you going to do?"
I was a little annoyed. "I'm going to see the doctor!"
He pursed his lips and said, "I'll ask Josiah to come over. Go rest."
"No!" I said. "I'm going to the hospital." Since Irvin's body was taken away and he had no relatives, Nerissa was the only one who could organize his burial. However, that was definitely something he would not want.
Thus, only I could do it.
Hendrix's eyes were dark and his lips pressed into a straight line. "What are you going to the hospital for? Are you using the excuse of being sick to organize Irvin's funeral?"
I looked at him and sneered. "And how is this related to you?"
He nearly returned the sneer and said, "What do you think? Arianna, there are limits to how much mess you can make. Aunt Nerissa will handle Irvin's funeral, and there are others in the Granger family too. Why would you go there for? Will you only stop once rumors about you and Irvin spread all around Jarold City?"
