I pinched the bridge of my nose and shook my head. "I'm fine. I'll pull through."
"Why don't we find some time to meet up tomorrow, and I'll take you to see a doctor?"
"No!" By now, I was a little annoyed. With a serious tone, I said to him, "Aaron, I will tell you if anything happens. Alright, I'm going to bed early."
After that, I immediately hung up the phone.
Honestly, I felt rather annoyed. Perhaps it was because of Andrea, but I threw my phone aside nonchalantly.
Then, I noticed that someone was behind me, I turned around and saw Hendrix standing behind me while he stared at me coldly since god knows when.
I couldn't help but frown. How much of the conversation between Aaron and I did he hear just now?
I opened my mouth and wanted to ask, but he suddenly leaned over and put his arms around my waist. The next second, he lowered his head and kissed my lips.
Meanwhile, I was dazed as I didn't expect this
to happen.
Nonetheless, it lasted only a few seconds before I came to my senses. I forcefully pushed Hendrix away and said, "Hendrix, let me go!"
He was stunned for a moment before he frowned and pulled me into his arms again. With a hoarse voice, he questioned, "Is it not okay for a husband and wife to act like this? Hmm?"
"Don't you think you're annoying?" Anger flared up in my chest. I glared at him and said through gritted teeth, "Your sweetheart is still downstairs. Aren't you scared that she'll come upstairs and feel heartbroken upon seeing you being so shameless?"
He suddenly burst into laughter and pinned me down. "My sweetheart? Arianna, why does that sound so odd to me? What's wrong? Are you jealous?"
