With that, I stood up and walked out of the hall, not giving Nerissa the chance to argue back.
I heard Hendrix's furious voice from behind me. "Aunt Nerissa, you know that Arianna's sick, and she's in poor health, so why are you always picking on her? If there's something you're unsatisfied about, you can vent it out on me. You don't have to make things difficult for her."
I didn't stick around for the rest of the speech. I immediately exited the villa and got in the car.
Hendrix followed me out soon after. When he saw that I was sitting leisurely in the car, he curled his lips and asked, "Have you calmed down?"
I rolled my eyes at him and didn't say anything more. I started the car and was ready to head straight to the Granger Group.
He moved quickly into the passenger's seat before looking at me and asked, "Where are we going?"
"To Granger Group!"
He frowned, "To the doctor's."
I pursed my lips and stopped the car. Then, I looked at him and said indifferently, "Get off. I have things to do."
He leaned his slender body back into the seat and said, "Then let's go to Granger Group to settle your business first, and then we'll go see a doctor."
"Don't you have your own business to deal with? You're being a little annoying here, Hendrix." Why did he have to stick with me all day like I was some sort of criminal?
"My mission today is to be with you!"
I tapped my knuckles on the steering wheel. I was getting extremely annoyed, but alas, I had to keep my anger in check. Looking at him, I said calmly, "Fine, you drive. I don't know the way."
He raised his eyebrows, sat up straight and gave me a kiss on the cheeks. He then said with a smile, "It's the same if we go see the doctor first before going to the company."
I frowned and patiently waited for him to get out of the car.
